So I have been thinking of affordable cameras for people who would want a DSLR but don't have tons of money, and since I already made a recommendation for a sweet cheap mirrorless in the Nikon 1 J1 article, I figured it would be a good time to announce my interest the Pentax K20D. I have yet to shoot with one but the image pool is full of great shots, and the 14.5mp count is above average for an older camera, a sensor co-developed by Samsung, it's thick and meaty (which is nice in a dedicated shooter) and, AND! it's easily had for less than 250$. It has some other great features as well, like being weather sealed (for under 250$!), lots of buttons and dials, a nice digital screen on the topside, and though this may sound like a negative, it has no video mode, which for me in some cameras I see as a bonus, since it allows me to only think in photographic terms. it ONLY takes photos, and by what I'm reading, it does a good job of it too. Because it's a Pentax, the resale is low, and the performance, for the buck, should be high. I'll be on the look out for one and if I can get some lens time, I'll try and write a full review. -Stunch
