So I recently took a trip to the country, and while I did do some color shooting, my best work from the weekend was the black and white images I shot with the amazing Canon SL1. I you haven't yet shot in black and white, you have got to go out and give it a go. The camera I was using has built in monochrome mode, so it actually shoots color free. Some cameras do not offer this as an option, but offer it as a post shot retouch. Either way, however, it's usually a good idea to take the images into a photo editing program (such as Photoshop, GIMP, Aviary, etc) and adjust the contrast, lightness, and any other aspects of the photo, to achieve the desired effect. The photos shown are part of a collection capturing the natural beauty of the area where they were shot, and offer both a sense of mystery and a unique perspective of this secluded wooded area. These are intended for print on matte photo paper. These images will be offered in limited numbers, as a set. If you would like more info on this collection, check my contact page and send me an email.
